Driving Directions: At JCT US 72 and Jackson Cty Rd 75, go North 1.0 mile on CR 75 to CR 98. Turn right on CR 98 for 3.7 miles to park entrance on left. Park office is 0.2 miles ahead at end of main entrance road. Equipment will be located on right before office. (NOTE: Route is well-marked, follow signs to Russell Cave National Monument)

one close tree *could* pose a problem for measurements. The scope of the trees surrounding the plot probably makes wind measurements impractical at this site.

MISCELLANEOUS SITING
What plot size is available? - Large
Is AC power available / Can it be shared? - possible/would have to dig under road
Is there internet connectivity / computer? - yes, at ranger station
Can the site plot be staked for easy finding? - centerpoint already staked
Would the host allow a concrete foundation or guide wires for a 10m wind tower? - not applicable, wind not considered
Is a fence around the sensors necessary? - possible but not likely

How close can trucks/vehicles get to site for delivery of equipment/materials? - within 100 feet

Miscellaneous notes: Additional followup will be necessary with park ranger, and possibly with NPS, before this site can be modernized. There are a number of unique issues to this site that are not concerns at other sites, due to the federal land and protected status at this location. Strongly suggest that site selection team arrange a conference call or meeting with the park ranger and/or any other parties that need to be involved higher up, to ensure all appropriate concerns are addressed.
